Post 8: The Best Concert I've seen

It's very difficult to choose the best concert that I've seen, because I've gone to many concerts and I liked all!

Recalling the concerts that I've been, the first band that it comes to my mind is Franz Ferdinand. I went to see them twice; the first time at Lollapalooza in 2013 (in O'Higgins park) and the second time at Movistar Arena, in 2014.

Franz Ferdinand is a band of indie rock formed in Glasgow, Scotland in 2001. It's called Franz Ferdinand in honor of the archduke of Austria. The band is composed by Alex Kapranos (vocalist), Bob Hardy, Nick McCarthy and Paul Thomson.

I like the sound of Franz Ferdinand, the energetic songs, the guitars and the drum. But when they play live it is much better, because they are very forceful and fun. Well, I love listening to live music and  always I will choose listen a band live.

The concert at Lollapalooza was amazing, they play the best songs and the public was crazy.  I think that the best was the connection that is established between the band and the public, I like the charisma of Alex Kapranos.

The best of all was to repeat the experience the following year :)

Post 7: An Expert on your field

Well, in the brief period that I have stayed in the career of anthropology, one of the teachers who caugh my attention most has been Nicolás Montalva.

Nicolás is the professor of the subject Evolution. I don't know anything about his personal life, I just know something about his professional career. He is a physical anthropologist and a social anthropologist, both degree he got them at University of Chile. Also he did a PhD in anthropology at University College London, in England.

Professor Montalva has different topics of interest to investigate, like genetic evolution, cultural evolution, human ecology, demography, economy, population genetics, epidemiology and history of anthropology.

I admire this professor first of all because he is a master, he has two degrees and a PhD! But the thing that I like most about him is his interest to teaching us, to the students. He is the teacher that I have seen who shows more interest in the students at the university, he really wants that the students learn, he is a very enthusiastic professor and that is appreciated.

Post 6: My Favorite Movie

I don't have a favorite movie, in fact I like many movie genres. But I have a favorite actress, so I will choose a movie of her. This actress is Meryl Streep.

One of the movies that I like of Meryl Streep is "The devil wears Prada". The principal actors in this film are the actress before mentioned, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci.

The story happens in New York city, United States. Basically, the story is about a young female journalist recently graduated (Andrea Sachs) who found a job as personal assistant of the editor, in an important magazine of vogue called "Runway". The thing is that Andrea doesn't know anything about fashion and she has to tolerate her demanding boss (Miranda Priestly), in addition she has personal problems (with her parents, her boyfriend and her friends).

The principal characters of this film are Andrea Sachs (Hathaway), Miranda Priestly (Streep), Emily Charlton (Blunt), Nigel (Tucci).
Andrea is the protagonist. She is a young journalist, graduated recently at the Northwestern University, who took on a personal assistant of Miranda Priestly.
Miranda is the editor of the Runway magazine. She is a woman recognised for doing her job well.
Emily is the principal assistant of Miranda.
Nigel is the art director of the Runway magazine and who helps Andrea to be fashionable.

My favorite part of this movie is any scene where Miranda Priestly gets mad with her assistants, because she is really a witch.

I don't like fashion, but I like this movie very much. I think that is because I like to watch Meryl Streep in this strong character, she does it excellently!

I think that the movie will be perfect if Madonna appeared in some scenes (maybe talking with Miranda).

Post 5: My Favorite Photograph

This is my favorite photograph. The person who took this picture was Christopher Drake, for National Geographic. I don't know when he took this photograph, because I found it on Internet.
In this image we can see a polar bear taking a bath and having fun.

I was looking an image for this post and I found some beautiful photographs of nature and animals. I choose this because I think that is the most beautiful.
Beyond the cute polar bear, I choose this picture because I love the animals (principally the mammal animals) and I love the nature. It's incredible how different we are, I mean to every creature who live in this planet. There are so many species on the Earth and everyone is beautiful and unique.
Basically, the picture is showing the beautiful of the life and the magnificence of the nature.
Like an extra information, I have to tell that I'm a dog lover, I have three dogs and I love them so much!
