Post 4: My Favorite Festivity

My favorite festivity  is Christmas. This festivity it celebrated on 25^th of december every year.

Christmas is one of the most important festivities of the Christianity. This solemnity commemorate the nativity of Jesus Christ in Belen. It is celebrated on 25^th of december in the Catholic church, in the Anglican church, in some Protestant communities and in many Orthodox churches. Although the exact day of the birth of Jesus Christ is not known (because it is not in the Old Testament nor in the New Testament), the twenty fifth of december has been meaningful for the people of the antiquity that celebrates during the winter solstice in the north hemisphere.

To commemorate this festivity,some days before of Christmas, my mom and I decorate our house with a christmas theme: we put lights outside of the house, we put them in the livingroom the classic Christmas tree with some ornament and we put a beautiful manger. Besides, every year on that date I meet with my family (parents, brother, grandmother, grandfather, uncles, cousins). We have dinner and later we give a gift to everyone.

I like this festivity because I think that the people are  happier, besides where I live the streets look beautiful with all the color of lights.

Post 3: My Favorite Piece of Technology

My favorite piece of technology is the mobile phone. In my life I have had four cell phones; the first was a gift for my birthday, in 2006 and the last one I bought it in June of this year.

I use my mobile phone to communicate with my friends and family, to search information about something quickly and to listen to music sometimes. 

I use my mobile frequently, in fact I can say that I use it on most part of the day; that is because I use the app "Whatsapp" a lot to communicate with my boyfriend and my friends. I also use application like Google, Gmail, Youtube and U-cursos. I don't use the apps of social networks like Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, for example, because I think that is not necessary in my life.

I like my cell phone because it is small, easy to take,comfortable and 'cause it is useful for the communication.

If I didn't have a mobile phone, the communication with my friends and family would be more difficult and I would have to buy a clock definitely. Despite the difficulty that it means not to have a cell phone, I could learn to live without it.
